Stress
My stress number is a 10 out of 24. It says that I have my life in fairly good control. I need to work on the choices and habits that could still be causing me some unnecessary stress in your life. I tend to stress over a lot of things that happen in my academics. In school, we usually receive a lot of homework or take challenging tests. At my house, I am not allowed to watch television or play video games during the school week. One place that I always go to is after school cross-country practice. It usually finishes until 4:30 till 5:00. When I go home, I am always tired from practice and want to take a nap. I tend to fall asleep all the time, causing me to start on my homework at 9:00 pm. This results to lack of sleep because I am now going to sleep at 12:30 am. This also leads to stress if I am too tired to do my homework that night and I wait until enrichment to finish it. It happens the same way with the tests. I would try to study for the test all night and during the next day. Some ways I can reduce this much stress level is to do my homework or study for a test at a table. Since it is always freezing in my house (for some unknown reason), I crawl in my bed and try to do my work from there. When I am warm and full from snacks, I tend to fall asleep. I can even try and do my work on the outside porch since it is so cold inside.

I know it can get tiring after practices and games, so falling asleep is usually the only option. I agree that you should do your work at a table so it it less likely to go to sleep and not wait until enrichment period. Going outside is usually a good option. Good work!
ReplyDeleteMe and you are similar except my stress level is 7 out of 10. I am also stressed out about school and at home I can't do any thing but homework and study. My parents always nag me about getting good grades and studying harder to become a doctor.
ReplyDeleteFresh air is always very refreshing! Doing your homework outside might just be a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI understand being tired when you get home from school. I usually fall asleep while reading my history book, so then I end up staying up too late in order to finish the assigned reading. A good thing to do to give you more energy is to make some green tea or eat an apple, it will also help you concentrate.
ReplyDeleteHaving a specific place and time for homework every night, like a table, is a very good idea.
